White Light: Theatrical Solutions at The Arc Show

White Light

Leading entertainment lighting supplier White Light will be demonstrating how it can bring theatrical solutions to architectural problems at the 2009 Arc Show - the show for architectural, retail and commercial lighting.

A familiar name to those working in entertainment lighting for more than three decades, White Light has in recent years found its experience and services in demand from those looking to bring the drama of theatrical lighting to large scale architectural, retail and exhibition lighting projects, including the new Nurburgring Visitors Centre in Germany, the Westfield Shopping Centre in London and many more.

At the 2009 Arc show, White Light will be showing new products offering enormous possibilities to those creating lighting in these fields. On show for the first time anywhere will be the new Fusion 672 LED video system from Illieum, together with its powerful, versatile Fusion Mapper control system. A rugged, lightweight batten - just over 1m long and weighing just over 3kg - each Fusion 672 contains a 72x6 array of tri-colour SMD LEDs with a ultra-wide viewing angle. Battens can be arranged in increments of 90degrees to create patterns or to form part of the structure; the set-up can be programmed on site or plotted in a spreadsheet in advance. Once uploaded to the Fusion Mapper, the battens are automatically configured and addressed. The Fusion Mapper accepts any DVI or VGA video input, mapping the video signal to the layout of fixtures. Alternatively, the controller can receive DMX or ArtNet control for effect playback.

Incredibly powerful and versatile, Fusion is easy to transport, set-up and rig; it is ideal for events, parties or fixed installations. Fusion is distributed in the UK exclusively by White Light, and a full system will be showing the possibilities offered on stand 114 at the show.

Complementing Fusion will be a range of other LED and control products: the JBLED A7 from JB Lighting, a moving-head LED fixture also offering beam control from 8-26 degrees which won the Silver Award for Innovation at PLASA 2008; the W-DMX wireless DMX system from Wireless Solutions; show control products from ELC, perfect for exhibitions and events, and the SpectraWOW spotlight and SpectraLED batten from LDDE, all of which are available in the UK only from White Light.

Representatives from White Light will be on hand to talk about the products on show, and about the complete systems integration service the company offers, able to take architectural or exhibition lighting projects through from the designer’s conception to complete working systems, bringing buildings to life with theatrical style.

The 2009 Arc Show takes place on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th February at Earl’s Court 2 in London. White Light will be on stand 114. Further information about the show can be found at www.thearcshow.com
